Anticipating the Spread of Covid-19, From 12 April to 31 May 2020 Railink Airport Train temporarily stops operating

PT Railink as a provider of public transportation for the Airport Train (KA) has taken various steps to reduce the potential for the spread and transmission of the Covid-19 Virus in the airport train environment, including the application of physical distancing, cleaning trains and stations regularly, spraying disinfectants, providing hand sanitizers, distribution of masks, measurement of passenger body temperature to oblige all passengers to wear masks when using Airport Train services both in the Station area and in the Airport Train.
In line with the increasing number of the spread of the Covid-19 Virus, especially in DKI Jakarta, PT Railink is making further preventive efforts by temporarily stopping the operation of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Train, Jakarta and Kualanamu Airport Train, Medan.
 
"PT Railink will temporarily stop operating from 12 April to 31 May 2020 and will continue to be evaluated. This is to anticipate the spread of Covid-19 and support the implementation of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in DKI Jakarta, ”said Mukti Jauhari as Acting President Director of PT Railink.
In line to support the Government of the Republic of Indonesia's policies regarding restrictions on the transportation sector, PT Railink has implemented operational adjustments for Soekarno-Hatta Airport Train and Medan Airport Train starting from March 2020 as follows:

For passengers who already have a ticket, they can refund the ticket 100% (one hundred percent) outside the booking fee, by attaching proof of the ticket and proof of transaction to email info@railink.co.id.
 
"PT Railink will continue to monitor the development of the situation and will take the necessary anticipatory steps to restart the airport train service later when the situation starts to improve," concluded Mukti.
